Lwihwr Project Interviewed

May be none would deny if I term Lwihwr Project as the pioneer of Bodoland metal. We managed to catch up with the guys and had an interview.

  • Unholy Maunder: Hello "LWIHWR PROJECT" a warm greeting from our side! How's everything going guys?

Lwihwr Project (Jwngsar Narzari): It’s my immense pleasure to say a big thank you and heartiest congratulation to your team. Well we guys are really happy for being chosen by you guys. We guys are doing really great.

  • UM: Well first of all "LWIHWR" means "To Walk United", How you guys come up with the name, any interesting story behind?

Lwihwr: As u all know that the journey of Lwihwr started as a Boro Rock Band, so to speak about the Band name, it didn't take much time to come up with the concept.  The credit goes to our lyricists who choose the name for the band. Not to disclose the history though. 2008 was the stepping stone when we recorded our originals for the first time. Despite the harsh challenges all along the way we had to proceed and proceed to evolve our own sound and originality.

  • UM: Tell us about the band members and instruments they play.

Lwihwr: Band members are:

JWNGSAR NARZARI (VOCALS)
SANSUMA BASUMATARY (BASS, VOCALS, SOUND ENGINEER)
SUMIT BRAHMA (GUITARS)
SIDDARTH NARZARI (DRUMS)

Sumit is currently using an IBANEZ GUITAR (GRG series) BOSS GT10, whereas sansuma is using YAHAMA RBX170 BASS.

  • UM: You guys don't really stick to a specific genre, are you? Why is so?

Lwihwr: Well all the listener differs and not the same. Although we are not confined to a particular genre the fact is that we focus on the song which sooth the ears of our listeners. We guys are an experimental Band so we don’t mind trying out all the types of genre as music has its own style and beauty.

  • UM: Isn't it hard to play different genres? How do you manage?
Lwihwr: The influences for the band changes with the span of time. Well we are still trying to figure out which genre we really need to stick. We share the same sound and interest. It totally depends upon the mood.

  • UM: Your new single "Everybody Die" is hitting many downloads, tell us something about the song.

Lwihwr: The concept for the song was generated by me and Sansuma. As we own a home studio we can devote more time to explore better sound. Nu metal was the concept however it turned out into a metal core.

  • UM: Tell us about the Rock/Metal scene in Bodoland?

Lwihwr: The metal lovers here in Boroland are growing more n more amongst the youths. Fact No gigs- No shows. Only Bollywood ‘ZINDABAD’. Well metal gives an energetic feeling and also a better means to get rid of frustration. Am not sure how people react to metal music. Believe it or not- Many people thinks that metal music relate to Satan. Only 20% of BORO youths listen to metal including school going kids.

  • UM: Northeast have many good talents, still Northeastern bands are barely popular, what could be the reason behind it?

Lwihwr: Well talents are many, Platform are very few. Music market here in NE will take a lot more time to grow to its fullest. Organizers need to invest good capital so that more and more bands can participate and showcase their talents.

  • UM: Tell us about "LWIHWR STUDIO"

Lwihwr: Lwihwr basically owns a home studio and needs a lot more investment for its completion(fact). However many upcoming Gospel and local bands have come up and recorded stuffs. We nearly completed 4 albums within this 2 months for other bands and many more projects are lined up.

We are currently working on Weeping Roses metal core track ‘The Promised Bloodshed’.

Well Sansuma plays the key Role in Mixing and Mastering whereas I am the Recordists and does the Drum Programming. Well we need to learn a lot more.

  • UM: Any advice for the upcoming bands?
Lwihwr: PPP would be the Favorable line which I would say to create a good quality music.

  • UM: Anything for Unholy Maunder?

Lwihwr: Thank you guys for giving us the space to express our feelings and share our views.

LETS WALK UNITED…

UM wishes you all the very best for your future!
