Hornbill National Rock Contest 2011 Registration Details

The much awaited 2011 Hornbill Music Festival extravaganza will kick-start at Kohima from December 1st to 7th. 

The Hornbill National Rock Contest 2011 is an integral event of the Hornbill Music Festival 2011 and will feature the evening entertainment programmes slot at Indira Gandhi Stadium from December 1 to 7, organised by the Music Task Force (YRS), Nagaland. The production and events are managed by XL - a tested and reliable event management organization that delivers.

Detailed programme for the 7 days:

• December 1

The Hornbill Music Festival, 2011 will start on December 1 at 4pm at IG Stadium. The Hornbill Music Festival will be officially launched by Beth A. Payne Consul General, US Consulate General Kolkata.Evening entertainment programme featuring the achieving musicians of the state in 2011,

• December 2

Hornbill Designers Contest 2011,

• December 3

achieving bands of Nagaland will be the curtain raiser for the Hornbill National Rock Contest 2011,

• December 4 and 5

Hornbill National Rock 2011 presented by Airtel will be launched and would continue till December 5, there will be screening of the bands

• December 6

Country, Blues and Jazz featuring American musicians, official launch of Casio Professional keyboards and declaration of nine (9) short-listed bands for the grand finale

• December 7

GRAND FINALE

On all the days the gates will be open by 4pm at IG stadium. Entry would be free.

Please note that deadlines for outstation bands entry is 10th NOV.

For local bands there will be a live audition on the 15th NOV at the Heritage, Kohima.
