Review: Deathaphor Latest Single "Truth Beyond Lie"

Today we have a 5 piece experimental metal band Deathaphor on board. Hailing from Tripura, these bunch of kids formed the band almost a year and half ago. With experimental as their genre, I was anticipating some of most coolest variations these guys can bring about. But what indeed excited me the most is that they already have one album "Mui Honna" to their credit. In a very short span of time, I like the aggression and passion this band has that may have given them the confidence to come up an album. Truth Beyond Lie is one of their latest original which they released. So lets start the Deathaphor journey:
It starts with a pretty catchy intro with a riff thrown in immediately indicating the entire band is under command. Production is definitly bad and each instruments are not heard properly. Although production plays a major role, I am more interested towards the musical spectrum of these guys. Considering that we have a sweet riff with double patterns executed in a poor manner. With minor flaws, lets not conclude so early. Vocals are really good and switch between growls and deep screeches. Variation in vocals along with the slight variation towards the middle section is undeniably good. Although the song is almost 5 min long, you somehow get a feeling that the track is incomplete. But I like the way these guys switched the sound towards the middle section but if band would have concentrated more on it then it surely would have sounded intense. It somehow doesn't go well towards the end when you consider song structure and arrangement metrics. They need to concentrate more on understanding their sound. Lyrically they really need to improve since the skill of composing good tracks is present but you need to write lyrics which support your sound you are looking for.

Deathaphor is very young, energetic band and if they work more on the con's then surely they are the band to look forward. Like i said earlier, they posses the talent of composing good music. I would really be glad to hear their new single soon which cover's all the aspects this track lacks. I wish them all the very best \m/
