Hello greeting from Unholy Maunder Team! How’re you guys doing?
- Great. Thanks!
Well, for those people who haven’t heard your music could you describe “Kalodin” briefly!
- Half the members were from Singapore. Sanjay, Ashish(of Garudh) and Gobind are added to the new line-up. We have released our first album and in the production stage of the upcoming EP of which, the announce date will be announced shortly. Active in different upcoming festivals, Nepfest II and The Underground Unleashed 2011.
As far as I know “Kalodin” started as some punk rock or metalcore band, so how and why this music evolution?
- We grew from one genre to another, yes. When we were 13, we played punkrock. At the age of 17, it was all about metal-core scene, and it gets heavier and darker. Its just us growing.
Black metal isn’t a mainstream genre of music! Are you guys really involved in satanic stuffs?
- No. We don't gather, draw a pentagram, place 5 candles at every points and chant to make our lives better. We write music from a narrator's point of view, living, observing trying to make a difference by doing what we're doing. We use all these references to emphasis to the audience that we have to look at the world from a negative point of view too. Self-denial is hazardous.
If one believes in good, believing in "bad" has to be under sheer consideration too, thus the references of the dark
side of one's life.
Well few days ago you guys played in India, was this your first time in Northeast?
- Yes!
You enjoyed playing? Tell us about both Gangtok and Guwahati shows. How was the crowd responded, looking forward come down to Northeast again?
- The hospitality that we received was great! The crowd was awesome for both cities! Being able to bond with new faces in a different country. It was a moment to remember! \m/
Any upcoming album and gigs?
- Metal Mayhem II, Nepfest II, Black Tour(Pokhara), The Underground Unleashed 2011! And an Ep on its way.
Any message for your fans?
- We thank all of you who have been supporting us and helping us grow! Every one of you who appreciate our art, you have our utmost respect! \m/
