Aleksandra Radosavljevic: Year 2011 was really full of a lot of music events. I was working on promotion for my solo album “Sa tobom letim”, than I was pretty much busy with my now ex band Destiny Potato. Also I became part of electro pop project MeSS. After that I got lot of requests for collaborations with other bands. I am pretty much satisfied with this year and I hope that next year will be even better, that would be really awesome!
Kallol: So,you've always been involved in music or did a particular something got you more interested in it and got you to where you are now? you've quite a fan following,and, particularly from where we are!
Aleksandra: I have been doing music since I was 5, and this will sound cliché’ but I don’t care, music really is my life.
Kallol: Tell us more about your musical journey so far! The ups ,the downs (if you have had any)!
Aleksandra: As a participant in many festivals and singing contests in Serbia and abroad I won many prizes, but my career hit the roof after appearing in “Serbian Idol” in 2004, but here in Serbia is hard to stay famous if you don’t have lot of money. Since I don’t come from a rich family, for me it was hard to keep that popularity, especially when you do pop, rock and metal music which is not popular here at all. But I never give up! I always work hard to make my dreams reality.
Kallol: So,you handle your studies and music together? How does that work out for you?
Aleksandra: In October this year I graduated in Italian language and I have always been well organized, I always had time for university, for my music and for my friends; it’s all about good organization.
Kallol: Okay, you did vocal work for David Maxim Micic's solo project which has been very well recieved and you were also a part of Destiny Potato for a short period of time! And Outrun The Sunlight released a single this week featuring you! anything else you're upto these days?
Aleksandra: Yeah, those projects which I was a part of are very well recognized and I’m grateful for that. Now I have a lot of requests for collaborations and something will be out soon, be patient :)
Kallol: The collaboration with Dark Carnage from Assam,India..how did that come around?
Aleksandra: Internet of course! They heard me singing and asked me if I’d be interested in being a guest on one of their tracks and I liked their music and that’s it. We are still currently working together, these guys are great and I’m sure that our song will sound amazing!
Kallol: Apart from the pop and djent circles you're so popular in,what do you listen to personally?
Aleksandra: Hmm, I am very open for different styles of music…apart from pop and metaI, I like house, lounge and chill out music, ambient, r’n’b, grunge, electro, reggae.
Kallol: What would you call your best work till date,musically speaking?
Aleksandra: It’s a little hard to answer this question, I think that with time every song I make, I sound better cause I’m older and more mature. I think that the best is still yet to come!
Kallol: Are you in any band right now?
Aleksandra: I’m not in a band right now, I’m just working on my solo stuffs, but that doesn’t mean if some cool guys ask me to be vocalist for their band that I will not accept :)
Kallol: Would you like to perform here in India?
Aleksandra: Yeah! I would love to! I heard that Indian fans are the best! One day, I really hope to come to visit you and sing for you guys :)

Aleksandra Radosavljevic is an artist from Leskovac,Serbia and she has been into music ever since she was 5 years old. Being inclined towards singing, she has over the years recorded songs for children, participated in many contests and has come out with fyling colors and people in her country and abroad have come to acknowledge her talent.
